Web Design

Yes, I mean Web design and not just a collection of Webpages. I design effective webpages to serve up content and to gather and disseminate information from and to the viewers of that page. Each page is carefully written, thoughtfully laidout and optimized for performance.

Graphic Arts

Traditionally trained in the graphic arts, I'm well versed in color theory, the use of shape and form and the layout and presentation of information. My experiences as Lead Designer, Graphic Artist and Creative Director have prepared me to make your website a special creation — a work of art that has a purpose.

I'm a Photoshop and Illustrator expert, having used both programs for the better part of ten years and taught novice users in university labs. I am able and willing to create offline materials, such as identity pieces, banners, posters, flyers and other publications, as well as dynamic websites.

HTML

I create HTML and dynamic-HTML (dHTML) webpages that conform to the published standards of the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) Document Object Models (DOMs). Each page is individually optimized for the selected target browser(s) and for download time. Macromedia Dreamweaver is used as a tool to construct HTML pages and Macromedia Contribute is highly recommended for site updating.

JavaScript

Helps kick HTML into overdrive. Elements on a webpage come to life with movement, interactivity, and navigation bars. I integrate JavaScript into HTML to provide dynamic capabilities to your website.

Macromedia Flash

I use Flash technologies to enhance HTML webpages. Why not create an all-Flash website? Flash sites suffer from poor rankings in the search engines, are not searchable by the user and tend to be gawdy and often ostentatious. I use Flash to present complex ideas and to set mood and tone. I view Flash as a component in a Web site, not the site itself.
